13 years ago, when I first moved into this tornado magnet of a tin can,(that's what we call mobile homes in the South)  the first thing that happened to me was that I didn't receive my snail mail water bill in time to pay it before they disconnected me ....Had to pay the bill, plus additional bucks to get reconnected ...Then came AT&T ...I was told I could get the most basic service in existance (which was local calls only and no long distance) for only 15 bucks per month ...Well that bill quickly escalated to 30, 40, 50 and finally even 70 bucks per month ...When I finally called asking them why, nobody had any answers ...Just said it was a bunch of Federal Communication Charges they could not possibly explain to a simple redneck like me ...All I really wanted was a fucking landline so I could get on the internet....Then it went from bad to worse when our beloved Congress decided that all tv signals oughta be digital ...Suddenly my antenna was obsolete ... I signed up with Dish Network just so I could watch a little tv from time to time and at least TRY to keep up with what's going on in the world and shit like that ...They gave me this great deal ...Only 40 bucks per month to see at least a hundred channels I don't give a shit about ...Then the price began to gradually go up ...to 50, then 60 until the present  ...Lately I've been paying over 70 bucks per month just for the privilege of watching tv...I never saw shit like that coming in my lifetime ...Maybe it wouldn't be so bad except every time it rains, I got no tv ...I called and asked them why my rates have gotten so high, only to fed the same mumbo jumbo AT&T had forced upon me ...various FCC fees etc, etc.

But as bad as all that has been for me, the ultimate insult came from my internet service provider,(who I continue to pay 20 bucks per month to) telling me that their equipment no longer recognizes the operating system on my PC,which is Windows XP ...It took me at least a dozen tries today just to connect to the internet, and at this point I don't really care anymore if it's because of their obsolete equipment or mine.

I'm not even gonna go into family affairs right now, but after 13 years of living here,I just want a fair shake, and so far,  it doesn't feel as if I've gotten one ...I've endured sarcastic comments from the old man like, "Sigh, you and your girlfriends" as well as comments from the older brother like, "Beware of them retarded girls."

I can't believe there are actually people who don't understand why I DON'T wanna live here anymore.

And they wonder why I drink.
